ZZP now offers a larger direct injection injector for your LNF. They are 14% larger than the stock LNF injector and they have an improved e85 "safe" injector seal. They are also extremely delicate so they will come pre-installed in a specific fuel rail to decrease the chance of damaging the injector and for an easier install. The injectors should not be removed, and will not work properly in a stock LNF fuel rail.
You will reuse your stock injector harness.
ECU programming is recommended for using these injectors. They will work as a drop in piece because of the LNF's wideband O2 sensor (which allows the PCM to adjust for them), however this isn't the proper way to run them.
By programming the ECU, the pulse window will be narrowed. This is a good thing and with the ZZP ECU calibration, we have been able to increase HP and efficiency of the motor with this alone.
One issue with these injectors is that they flow more than the HP pump can keep up with. Because the pressure output of the HP pump is monitored and accounted for in the ECU, this doesn't represent any real world issues but it is something to be aware of. For ideal optimization these injectors should be coupled with our LNF cam with larger fuel lobe. This allows the smallest pulse window, highest gains, and HP potential up to 475WHP on E85 or 600WHP on gas.
<p>upgraded to these after zfr install, stock ones had bad seals. these make fuel trims go pretty rich so tune is needed when installing them, they are a bit louder than stock ones, but great injectors.</p>
